<dc:title>A dataset of mid-channel bars morphology and some mid-channel bars vegetation classification in the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River (1987-2020)</dc:title>

<dc:description>The dataset is based on Landsat data from 1987 to 2020. The improved normalized differential water index method is used to obtain the morphological data of mid-channel bar (MCB) in the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River, and the object-oriented classification method is used to obtain the vegetation classification data of some MCB in the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River. The geographic range includes 105°30'~122°30'E, 23°45'~34°15'N, involving Hubei, Hunan, Jiangxi, Anhui, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Shanghai. The time resolution is annual data. The dataset includes the morphological vector data of MCBs and the classification vector data of vegetation on some continents in the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River from 1987 to 2020. Each of the two datasets contains 8 files per year. (1) The file in shp format is the spatial information for storing the vector data; (2) The file in shx format is the index file for the geometric features of the elements; (3) The file in dbf format is the attribute information for storing the vector data; (4) The file in sbn/sbx format is the file for storing the spatial index of the elements ; (5) The file in prj format is a file that stores coordinate system information; (6) The file in xml format is ArcGIS metadata - storing information about shapefiles; (7) The file in cpg format is used to describe the code page of the .dbf file, indicating the character encoding it uses.</dc:description>
