2026-08-31 10-Meter Resolution Ecosystem Type Dataset, Hubei Province, China (2024) doi:10.57760/sciencedb.00zov en This dataset provides high-resolution ecosystem type mapping of Hubei Province, China, for the year 2024. It consists of two raster layers at 10 m spatial resolution covering the entire province: a level-1 layer distinguishing seven first-level ecosystem types (forest, shrub, grassland, wetland, cropland, urban, and other) and a level-2 layer distinguishing 15 second-level ecosystem types (broadleaf forest, mixed conifer-broadleaf forest, sparse forest, broadleaf shrub, sparse shrub, grass, marsh, lake, river, cropland, orchard, residential area, urban green space, industrial and transportation land, and bare land). The classification system was established following the Technical specification for investigation and assessment of national ecological status—Remote sensing interpretation and field verification of ecosystem (HJ 1166—2021) issued by the Ministry of Ecology and Environment of the People's Republic of China, adapted to the ecosystem types occurring in Hubei Province. Both layers are single-band Byte GeoTIFF rasters in the WGS 84 geographic coordinate system (EPSG:4326) on a fixed 10 m working grid, with NoData value 0 for areas outside Hubei Province. Accompanying ArcGIS Pro style files (.lyrx) provide unified legends and color schemes.
