  <dc:title>Entropy change of the photovoltaic‑thermoelectric system</dc:title>
  <dc:identifier>doi:10.57760/sciencedb.00ztx</dc:identifier>
  <dc:language>en</dc:language>
<dc:description>This dataset is a time-series simulation data of a photovoltaic thermoelectric (PV-TE) integrated composite solar power generation system. Three cities with different solar energy resource characteristics, Beijing, New York, and Berlin, were selected for comparative research. The solar irradiance and environmental temperature of each city in typical meteorological years were used as input boundary conditions for the model. A complete system energy balance and exergy balance numerical model was built based on the MATLAB platform for calculation. The dataset contains three data files, with data table fields of city, operating time (h), input solar energy (W), PV output electricity (W), TE output electricity (W), and PV module exergy. Loss (W), TE module loss (W). The dataset fully records the time-varying evolution process of various parameters of the system during typical daytime operating cycles. The input solar energy shows a parabolic distribution pattern with changes in solar radiation, and there is a significant complementary performance between photovoltaic and thermoelectric systems. Photovoltaic module losses are the highest proportion of irreversible losses in the system. This dataset can reproduce the simulation chart results corresponding to this article, which can be used by other researchers to carry out model verification and simulation result comparison, support the thermodynamic mechanism analysis of PV-TE coupled systems, and further calculate derived indicators such as system efficiency and the proportion of component losses based on raw time series data. It provides data support for the structural improvement, parameter optimization, and performance evaluation of composite solar power generation systems under different regional operating conditions.&amp;nbsp;</dc:description>
