<dc:title>EEG and cognitive performance data from middle-aged manual workers under controlled thermal conditions</dc:title>
  <dc:identifier>doi:10.57760/sciencedb.00zxq</dc:identifier>
  <dc:language>en</dc:language>
<dc:description>This dataset contains EEG recordings and cognitive performance measurements collected from 34 middle-aged manual workers aged 40&amp;ndash;50 years under four controlled wet-bulb globe temperature (WBGT) conditions (23.0, 26.0, 28.5, and 31.0 &amp;deg;C). The dataset comprises 136 condition-level records and includes 14-channel EEG recordings, performance scores from six cognitive tasks, subjective thermal ratings, and environmental parameters. The six cognitive tasks assess reaction time, visual memory, aiming performance, cognitive control, sequence memory, and hand-eye coordination. Subjective thermal responses include thermal sensation vote (TSV), thermal preference vote (TPV), and thermal comfort vote (TCV). Environmental measurements include WBGT and related thermal parameters.Raw EEG recordings are provided in EDF format, and preprocessed EEG recordings are provided as paired EEGLAB .set and .fdt files. Raw and processed cognitive performance data are provided in spreadsheet format. Participants are represented by study identifiers, and direct personal identifiers are removed.</dc:description>
