It includes raw measured data such as soil calcium carbonate content, depth of calcic enrichment layer, and soil particle‑size distribution from 13 typical soil profiles along a precipitation gradient across northern China, spanning from the Northeast China Plain to the Inner Mongolian Plateau. The study reveals the synergistic regulatory effects of precipitation and soil‑forming parent material on the spatial‑variation patterns of soil calcium carbonate. The dataset supports figure‑and‑table analysis for the paper and can be reused for studies related to soil inorganic carbon in arid and semi‑arid regions.
