<dc:description>This dataset contains the original experimental and simulation data underlying Figures 1, 2, 3, 6 and 7 of the article “Non-monotonic hardening-then-softening of a pre-cold-rolled Ni-17Mo-7Cr alloy under low-dose 10 MeV electron irradiation”. A commercial Ni-17Mo-7Cr alloy was cold-rolled to a 40% thickness reduction and then irradiated in air at room temperature with 10 MeV electrons at absorbed doses of 0, 0.1, 0.8, 1.5, 3.0 and 5.0 MGy, corresponding to displacement damages of 0–4.21 × 10-4 dpa. The dataset is organized by figure as follows. (1) Fig. 1: Geant4 Monte Carlo simulation of the depth-resolved energy spectra of 10 MeV electrons in the alloy, computed for 100 target thicknesses from 0.1 to 10.0 mm (step 0.1 mm, 5 × 107 primary electrons each), provided as a two-dimensional matrix of log10(count + 1) versus depth and electron energy (10 keV–10 MeV, 10 keV bins) together with the depth-dependent mean electron energy. (2) Fig. 2: Vickers hardness values (≥20 indentations per condition) and room-temperature tensile engineering stress–strain curves for the six irradiation conditions. (3) Fig. 3: XRD data measured with Cu-Kα1 radiation, including the normalized patterns of all six dose states and the dose-dependent lattice parameters (Nelson–Riley extrapolation), full widths at half maximum of the (111), (200) and (220) reflections, and Harris texture coefficients. (4) Fig. 6: EBSD-derived geometrically necessary dislocation (GND) statistics, including the probability density distributions of the GND density for each dose state and the dose dependence of the average GND density (×1014 m-2). (5) Fig. 7: positron annihilation lifetime spectroscopy (PALS) parameters versus dose, namely the short and long lifetimes τ1 and τ2, their intensities I1 and I2, and the mean lifetime τm, together with their uncertainties. All files are plain tab-separated text files, one per figure panel. These data reveal a non-monotonic hardening-then-softening response of the pre-deformed alloy, with peak hardness of 432.96 HV, yield strength of 956.55 MPa and ultimate tensile strength of 1287.08 MPa at 1.5 MGy, accompanied by a monotonic recovery of the cold-rolled dislocation network. The dataset provides a quantitative basis for defect-engineering strategies combining cold-rolling pre-deformation with low-dose electron irradiation in nickel-based alloys for molten salt reactors.</dc:description>
