<dc:title>Experimental data on the vibration of the rotor system of a ball bearing turbocharger under basic excitation</dc:title>
  <dc:identifier>doi:10.57760/sciencedb.011pq</dc:identifier>
  <dc:language>en</dc:language>
<dc:description>The experiment analyzed the effects of the base excitation amplitude (a = 0.3,1,2) and excitation frequency (we = 40,60,80 Hz) on the rotor vibration of the turbocharger. In the experiment, the sampling frequency was set to 20 kHz. Due to the limited rotational speed achievable by pneumatic driving and the difficulty of maintaining low-speed stability,21 speed steps were selected between 10000 rpm and 52000 rpm to ensure both safety and accuracy. Data acquisition began after the rotor operated stably for 30 seconds at each speed. After the rotor operated steadily under no base excitation for a period of time, base excitation was applied to the turbocharger rotor and then removed after a certain duration. The base excitation frequency was set to 60 Hz, and the amplitude a was varied to 0.3,1, and 2, respectively. The vibration of the compressor disk under three base excitation amplitudes was analyzed.Set a&amp;nbsp;to 1, the base excitation frequency fe&amp;nbsp;was varied to 40,60, and 80 Hz, respectively.Data description: Taking the data name &amp;quot;0.3-60-16000-1&amp;quot; as an example, 0.3 represents the magnitude of the excitation amplitude a, 60 is the excitation frequency (Hz), 16000 is the rotational speed (rpm), and 1 indicates the first data sample. Some rotational speeds have taken the signals of two time periods.</dc:description>
