<dc:title>Research on the Reliability of Fatigue Life Prediction for Titanium Alloys Based on Fracture Mechanics</dc:title>
  <dc:identifier>doi:10.57760/sciencedb.0129f</dc:identifier>
  <dc:language>en</dc:language>
<dc:description>&amp;nbsp;Based on a fatigue crack growth rate prediction model that accounts for short crack behavior, this study probabilistically characterizes the model parameters and employs the Monte Carlo method for fatigue life prediction. Parameter sensitivity analysis is conducted to identify the key random variables affecting fatigue life, and the failure probability and reliability under a given design life are subsequently calculated using the limit state equation. Model validation is performed using fatigue S-N test data for titanium and aluminium alloys retrieved from the literature. The results show that the predicted median S-N curves agree well with the experimental data, and the resulting failure probability curves reasonably characterise the evolution of fatigue reliability across different materials. This method offers an effective analytical tool for the reliability assessment of fatigue life in metallic structures.</dc:description>
