<dc:title>Mandala Coloring and University Students&amp;rsquo;Mental Health: An Updated Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis</dc:title>
  <dc:identifier>doi:10.57760/sciencedb.012kk</dc:identifier>
  <dc:language>en</dc:language>
<dc:description>This dataset accompanies an updated systematic review and meta-analysis examining the effects of mandala-based coloring and art interventions on psychological outcomes among higher-education students. It contains the revised study-level and effect-level extraction data, effect-size calculation inputs, R analysis code, and output tables used to reproduce the updated quantitative synthesis. The review searched PubMed, CINAHL Complete (EBSCOhost), Embase.com, Web of Science Core Collection, ScienceDirect, ProQuest, and Scopus from 1 January 1950 to 1 August 2026, supplemented by gray literature, trial registries, reference-list searches, and reviewer-identified sources. Eligible studies were randomized comparative studies conducted in higher-education students that reported prespecified psychological outcomes. The final synthesis included 26 publications, 28 study/experiment entries, 33 effect units, and 2,064 participants. Hedges&amp;rsquo; g was pooled using a DerSimonian&amp;ndash;Laird random-effects model. The dataset supports reproduction of the overall pooled effect (g = 0.582, 95% CI [0.389, 0.775]; I&amp;sup2; = 74.8%), subgroup analyses by country/region, intervention period, mandala structure, anxiety induction, voluntariness, and outcome category; meta-regressions for publication year, mean age, sample size, and percentage of female participants; and sensitivity and publication-bias analyses. The deposit contains no personally identifiable information; all records are derived from published or gray-literature reports. It is intended to support transparency, reproducibility, and secondary meta-research.</dc:description>
