<dc:description>This dataset provides the raw experimental images and statistical source data supporting the study "Pain sensitization stems from new insights into a unique type of memory: the joint conspiracy of neuronal organelles and the extracellular matrix". Using a 49-day spared nerve injury (SNI) model in male Sprague-Dawley rats, the study examined structural and functional remodeling of dorsal hippocampal CA1 neurons and the perisynaptic extracellular matrix during persistent neuropathic pain. The dataset includes: (i) original microscopy images - Nissl staining, immunohistochemistry (TLR9, IBA1, ACTN4, Integrin beta 1, N-cadherin), immunofluorescence (Fibronectin, GFAP), Golgi-Cox staining, and transmission electron microscopy of the hippocampal CA1 region; (ii) small RNA (miRNA) sequencing analysis plots, including volcano plot, heatmap and GO/KEGG enrichment analyses; and (iii) statistical data tables covering behavioral testing (von Frey paw withdrawal mechanical threshold over 49 days), quantitative image analysis and Sholl analysis. All original images are provided in TIFF format (137 image files, ~3.8 GB, plus 2 statistical tables and a README file). The data support the manuscript's conclusions regarding pain sensitization as a hippocampus-dependent, memory-related process.</dc:description>
