<dc:title>Derived figure data for horizontal extents of spread-F-associated TEC variability over Hainan</dc:title>
  <dc:identifier>doi:10.57760/sciencedb.013f2</dc:identifier>
  <dc:language>en</dc:language>
<dc:description>This dataset supports the manuscript 'Horizontal extents of spread-F-associated TEC variability over Hainan: distributions and directional structure'. It contains 196 paired horizontal extent estimates and directional ratios for resolved spread-F blocks over Hainan in 2019-2020, plus 19 aggregate summaries reported in the manuscript. The three block-level fields are parallel extent (km), perpendicular extent (km), and directional ratio. Parallel and perpendicular refer to the horizontal geomagnetic field, approximately north-south and east-west at Hainan. The summaries describe overall, seasonal, local-time, event and night statistics. The single ZIP contains two CSV tables, a data dictionary, README and checksums. Observation timestamps, event/night identifiers and source mappings are omitted. No raw GNSS/TEC observations, ionogram images, manual annotations, manually calibrated data, classifier assets or training datasets are redistributed. Original observations are provided separately by the Chinese Meridian Project under its access conditions.Dataset authors: Zheng Wang and Chu Qiu. The associated manuscript is in preparation for Earth, Planets and Space.Funding: Youth Innovation Promotion Association CAS (2023000116); National Key R&amp;amp;D Program of China (2025YFF0510700); Strategic Priority Research Program of CAS (XDA0470301); Specialized Research Fund for the State Key Laboratory of Solar Activity and Space Weather. We thank the Chinese Meridian Project for data access, technical support, and operational funding for the instruments managed by the team.</dc:description>
