<dc:description>This dataset contains the complete analysis code (Python/R) and aggregated result tables underlying the manuscript "Cardiovascular disease shifts the frailty process from recovery towards progression in Chinese older adults: a block-stratified multistate Markov analysis of CHARLS". The study fits four-state continuous-time multistate Markov models (frailty states with recovery, progression and death transitions) using msm, stratified by cardiovascular disease (CVD) status, with exposure analyses based on the weight-adjusted-waist index (WWI). The deposit includes: (1) code/ — preprocessing, quality-control, model-fitting, sensitivity-analysis and figure scripts in documented run order; (2) results/ — aggregated summary tables only (transition intensities, covariate balances, ratios of ratios, sensitivity analyses and model diagnostics). No individual-level data are redistributed. Raw CHARLS and harmonized CHARLS data are available from http://charls.pku.edu.cn and https://g2aging.org under registration-based data-use agreements. Code is licensed MIT; aggregated result tables are licensed CC BY 4.0.</dc:description>
