<dc:description>	Ancient trousseaus were associated with social stratification. An analysis of data from journals such as Cultural Relics, Archaeology, Southeast Culture, and Central Plains Cultural Relics on the identities of people associated with trousseaus unearthed from Warring States-period tombs and Song Dynasty tombs indicates that many were members of the nobility or official classes. This pattern suggests continuity in the use of trousseaus as markers of hierarchical status.</dc:description>
