The original data include the protein coding sequence, protein sequence and ancestral sequence of 39 Hox genes in 9 turtles, as well as the location information of the genes on the chromosome based on homology prediction. Supplementary materials includes genome information of 9 species of Turtles, as well as Hox gene intron and exon length distribution, Hox gene cluster chromosomal location and related pictures of protein structure mutations.</dc:description>
