<dc:title>Cancer segmentation by entropic analysis of ordered gene expression profiles</dc:title>
  <dc:identifier>doi:10.57760/sciencedb.06470</dc:identifier>
  <dc:language>en</dc:language>
<dc:description>Data files for the article &amp;quot;Cancer segmentation by entropic analysis of ordered gene expression profiles&amp;uml;1) Data files with a .proc extension are the unsorted files for the class sequence. Data files with a .sort extensions are the sorted files for the class sequence. Data files with the .rnd extension are the randomized files for the class sequence. Three classes are defined for under-, over-, and normal-expressed genes, to the first the value 2 is assigned, to the second, the value 1 is assigned, and 0 otherwise. Primary gene expression data were taken from the TCGA portal (https://portal.gdc.cancer.gov/)2) Data files with LZ76 extension correspond to the output files of the entropy estimation via Lempel-Ziv factorization. 3) distance_matrix.zip file is the distance matrix for each cancer type. The file starts with the number of entries. Then each line is an entry that starts with a sample name which is irrelevant except that, normal tissue entries have a name starting with Normal, and cancer tissue entries have a name starting with Cancer. The distance values follows in the same order as the listed entries.</dc:description>
