The template has been developed with reference to national standards such as Information and documentation—Presentation of documentation—Part 4: Data papers (GB/T 7713.4-2025), Data paper publication metadata (GB/T 42813-2023), and Presentation of academic papers (GB/T 7713.2-2022). It is also informed by a review of and, to some extent, based on the paper templates of domestic and international journals that publish data papers.
