<dc:title>Simulation data of Yb:YAG crystals grown by EFG method</dc:title>
  <dc:identifier>doi:10.57760/sciencedb.11956</dc:identifier>
  <dc:language>en</dc:language>
<dc:description>This data focuses on the EFG growth of Yb:YAG crystals, analyzing the relationship among insulation structures, temperature gradient, and the driving force of crystal growth. We optimize the temperature distribution through 3D numerical simulation and investigate how insulation modulates the axial temperature gradient at the solid-liquid interface. Furthermore, the effect of radial temperature gradient on the crystal growth process is discussed. By combining simulations and meniscus modeling, we identify an optimal pulling speed of 15 &amp;mu;m/s, enabling the successful growth of the high-quality Yb:YAG crystal. Subsequent measurements of XEL spectra and decay times reveal that the luminescence characteristics of the EFG-grown crystal are basically the same as those of the Cz-grown crystal.</dc:description>
