<dc:title>Synthesis of Na/SnO2 solid superbases for catalytic transesterification reaction</dc:title>
  <dc:identifier>doi:10.57760/sciencedb.12060</dc:identifier>
  <dc:language>en</dc:language>
<dc:description>The tin oxide(SnO2) carriers were prepared by precipitation method and further mixed with mono-sodium (Na) under nitrogen protection to obtain Na/SnO2 solid base catalysts. The structure, morphology and alkali strength of the catalysts were analyzed using SEM, FT-IR, XRD, TG-DSC and hammett indicator. The application &amp;nbsp;in biodiesel production via transesterification of rapeseed oil and methanol was investigated in detail. The results showed that under the conditions of pH 8, the catalyst calcination temperature was 600℃,the calcination time was 3 hours, the surfactant dosage was 0.015mol and the loaded sodium mass was 3.75wt.%, the transesterification conversion for Na/SnO2 reach up to 93.6%.&amp;nbsp;</dc:description>
