<dc:description>Using Eurasian river vector data (2010) and European Space Agency (ESA) Global Land Classification data (2020) terrestrial surface water products, river and lake reservoir surface area vector data were formed by fusion. Then, the expansion and contraction buffer method was used to solve the problem of river water discontinuity, and the river surface area vector datasets in Guangxi, Yunnan, Guizhou of China and ten ASEAN countries were produced with the aid of judgments based on the first-degree, second-degree, and third-degree river classes in the HyroBASINS data. The lake and reservoir surface area vector dataset for the same region was obtained through further processing of the European Space Agency (ESA) global land classification data. The river and lake reservoir coverage was calculated to generate 1km river and lake reservoir coverage grid dataset.</dc:description>
