A dataset on the checklist and geographical distribution of wild woody plants in Hunan Province has been constructed. The dataset meticulously documents key attributes, including taxonomic information, life forms, growth forms, geographical distribution, elevation ranges, endemism, threat status, and conservation levels, supplemented by specimen or photographic vouchers. The geographical distribution is recorded at the county level, encompassing 122 county-level administrative regions across 14 prefecture-level cities in Hunan Province.
