<dc:description>As an important predator of corn field pests, earwig plays an important role in controlling Lepidoptera pests. Investigating their distribution and population dynamics in cornfields will provide vital insights for maintaining ecological balance and optimizing pest management strategies. This study conducted a five-year systematic monitoring project in cornfields at the Henan Modern Agricultural Research and Development Base in Yuanyang County, Xinxiang City, Henan Province. The earwig resource data set of maize field in northern Henan Province was constructed by regularly attracting earwigs and recording environmental data. The data set records the species composition and quantity changes of earwigs in detail, which provides a theoretical basis for studying the population dynamics of earwigs in this area. The standard sampling method is adopted to ensure the continuity of the data. The obtained data not only help to find out the current situation of earwig resources in corn fields, but also provide a scientific basis for assessing the impact of climate change on natural enemy insects, and have important guiding significance for formulating natural enemy protection and utilization strategies in corn fields.</dc:description>
