<dc:title>Box girder bridge weigh-in-motion data, simulated by finite element method</dc:title>
  <dc:identifier>doi:10.57760/sciencedb.29310</dc:identifier>
  <dc:language>en</dc:language>
<dc:description>&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; This dataset contains computational experiment results of simulating trucks crossing the box girder bridge supported by two columns. The finite element method-based model was built in ANSYS software, so it is synthetic dataset (not from field experiments). The experiment considered three truck types: 3-axle, 5-axle, and 6-axle trucks.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; Each sample in the dataset results from FEM-based simulation of a truck crossing the bridge, and it consists of two components:&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;12-dimensional time series of strain values at fixed points (readings from 12 sensors);&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;Vehicle characteristics (data on three axle groups load, vehicle speed).&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; The size of the generated dataset for truck type A is 1956 elements, for type B &amp;ndash; 2034, and for type C &amp;ndash; 2039. Time series represent the readings from 12 sensors that measure the Equivalent Elastic Strain &amp;ndash; a measure of the mechanical stress inside the material subjected to external force.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; The dataset is a supplementary material to article &amp;quot;Deep neural network architecture for bridge weigh-in-motion system that require small-sized datasets&amp;quot;. All additional data can be found in paper or upon reasonable request from author. It should help data scientists and AI engineers to improve bridge weigh-in-motion systems, based on neural networks.Dataset contains 3 folders (Truck A, Truck B, Truck C). Each folder inside them represents data samples (File_1, File_2, File_3,...).Each sample contains 13 .csv files:&amp;nbsp;- force.csv &amp;mdash; file with data about experiment parameters in this sample: 4 parameters (weight of first axis, second axis, third axis, vehicle speed), 2 equations in text form, suitable for ANSYS scripts, in order to simulate the corresponding dynamic force; For example in Truck A\File_1\force.csv there are values 5594.0, 13029, 13029, 109.68. This means that force of the first axis is 5594.0 kg, second axis &amp;mdash; 13029 kg, third axis &amp;mdash; 13029 kg. And vehicle speed is 109.68 km/h. Keep in mind that corresponding equations have velocity transformed in m/s and force is calculated as: mass*g/number_of_tires_on_axis.&amp;nbsp;- Strain_1.csv, ..., Strain_12.csv&amp;nbsp;&amp;mdash; readings from 12 sensors that measure the Equivalent Elastic Strain.</dc:description>
