  <dc:title>Multimodal Remote Cardiac Cycle-Level Variability Dataset (MRC&amp;sup2;VD)</dc:title>
  <dc:identifier>doi:10.57760/sciencedb.29362</dc:identifier>
  <dc:language>en</dc:language>
<dc:description>The dataset includes synchronized recordings of electroencephalogram (EEG), electrocardiogram (ECG), photoplethysmogram (PPG), ballistocardiogram (BCG), chest pressure-based respiratory signals, blood oxygen saturation (SpO₂), and facial video data, from which remote photoplethysmography (rPPG) signals can be derived. ECG, PPG, BCG, and video-derived rPPG serve as the core modalities for heart rate (HR) and heart rate variability (HRV) analysis, while EEG, respiratory, and SpO₂ signals are provided as auxiliary modalities to support exploratory research on cross-modal physiological coupling. By capturing synchronized temporal dynamics across these modalities, the dataset enables detailed analysis of cycle-level fluctuations in cardiac signals, such as beat-to-beat variations in ECG, PPG, and BCG waveforms. This resource provides a foundation for advancing methodologies in heart rate (HR) and heart rate variability (HRV) characterization, as well as for exploring the interdependencies between different physiological signals. Potential applications span biomedical engineering, psychophysiology, and health monitoring, with relevance to non-invasive cardiac health assessment. The dataset&amp;rsquo;s emphasis on cycle-level variability may facilitate research into the physiological mechanisms underlying cardiac signal dynamics and support the development of signal-processing methods with potential clinical relevance. This dataset contains original facial videos that may be identifiable. Access is restricted to researchers who submit a data access request through this dataset page and agree to the Data Usage Agreement (available at https://www.scidb.cn/static/dataSet/restrictedfile/694480ac65244451b1094d6d6dd7d980/V5/author/MRC2VD_Data_Usage_Agreement.pdf), which prohibits re-identification and redistribution.</dc:description>
