<dc:title>Long-term observation dataset of Soil Temperature, Moisture, and Salinity in Qianyanzhou (2017&amp;ndash;2022)</dc:title>
  <dc:identifier>doi:10.57760/sciencedb.29487</dc:identifier>
  <dc:language>en</dc:language>
<dc:description>This dataset collected soil water, heat, and salinity dynamics under different types of vegetation covered from 2017 to 2022. The dataset includes complete profile observations of soil temperature (℃), volumetric water content (m&amp;sup3;/m&amp;sup3;), and electrical conductivity (S/m) at different depth layers from 0 to 180 cm at 8 a.m. (UTC+8) each day, with over ten thousand valid records. It has strong continuity and high depth resolution, filling the gap in the sharing of long-term in situ monitoring data of deep soil under multiple vegetation types in the subtropics. This dataset synchronously obtained complete soil profile long-term dynamics of grassland and multiple tree species plantations under the same climatic background, supporting the study of the differential impacts of vegetation types on soil environment. It breaks through the limitations of conventional surface monitoring, revealing the vertical transport patterns of water, heat, and salinity within 180 cm depth, and providing key parameters for deep carbon cycling, rhizosphere ecology, and drought response. Covering the period of frequent extreme climatic events (such as the extreme drought event in Jiangxi Province in 2022), it captures the sensitive responses of soil parameters to climatic anomalies, with irreplaceable observational value.</dc:description>
