<dc:description>The fields of biomedical imaging have broad application prospects and are hot research sources in the field of fiber lasers. However, due to the serious 1.06 μ m parasitic laser problem in this wavelength band, it is difficult to achieve high-power laser output in the 900 nm wavelength band in conventional neodymium doped fibers, which limits its application. Currently, research institutions represented by the French company iXblue have successfully developed neodymium doped quartz fibers for high-power lasers in the 900 nm wavelength band and are able to provide corresponding commercial products. In this context, the source fiber research team of the Chinese Academy of Sciences Shanghai Optics and Precision Machinery Research Institute has been carrying out research on neodymium doped quartz fiber for 900 nm laser generation and amplification since 2019. Aiming at the 1.06 μ m laser suppression problem, a new technology of anionic regulation of neodymium ion coordination environment was proposed to solve the competition problem between 900 nm band and 1 μ m band from the source of doped glass luminescence. In recent years, based on this technology, 30/125 type neodymium doped double clad quartz fibers capable of achieving 100 W level continuous laser amplification output in the 900 nm band, as well as 4/125 type high neodymium doped quartz single-mode fibers for single frequency and high repetition rate laser generation, have been developed successively. </dc:description>
