<dc:description>The full name of this dataset is the “Chinese University Students' Lifestyle and Physical-Mental Health Dataset (2024)”. This dataset was developed by the Consortium of Physical and Mental health Promotion for Chinese Students (CPMC) based on the six-pillar framework of lifestyle medicine. It aims to systematically document lifestyle characteristics, physical health, and mental health among Chinese university students, providing a data resource for investigating associations between lifestyle patterns and physical-mental health outcomes.Data were collected from October to December 2024 across more than 20 universities in several provinces and municipalities in mainland China, including Beijing, Shanghai, Jiangsu, Guangdong, and Sichuan. Participants included undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral students. After quality control, the dataset contains 35,197 valid responses, with a valid response rate of 89.89%.The dataset includes demographic information, lifestyle indicators, physical health indicators, and mental health indicators. Lifestyle variables cover dietary habits, stress management, social support, physical activity, sleep quality, tobacco and alcohol use, and mobile phone addiction. Physical health indicators include self-rated health, height, weight, and BMI. Mental health indicators include standardized assessments of anxiety, depression, and perceived stress.Quality control procedures included pilot testing, online logic checks, abnormal response detection, manual review, duplicate removal, and consistency checks. The dataset has been standardized and de-identified. It is stored in tabular format and contains 35,197 anonymous individual records and 82 variables.Because the dataset contains information related to university students’ lifestyle, mental health, and physical-mental health, it is provided under restricted access and is not available for open download. Researchers interested in the data structure and variable format may first refer to the sample dataset: CSTR: https://cstr.cn/31253.11.sciencedb.psych.00696DOI: https://doi.org/10.57760/sciencedb.psych.00696. Access to the full dataset requires review and approval by the CPMC data management team and completion of the data usage agreement.</dc:description>
