<dc:description>This dataset is derived from the single crystal growth, structural characterization, and magnetic measurements of rare earth based trigonal frustrated intermetallic compound LnNiAl4Ge2 (Ln=Gd, Tb, Dy, Ho, Er). Single crystals are grown using Al Ge self fluxing method: high-purity rare earth powder (99.9%, Macklin), nickel block (99.9%, Macklin), aluminum sheet (99.9%, Aladdin), and germanium sheet (99.99%, Aladdin) are mixed in a molar ratio of 1:1:14:4, sealed in a vacuum quartz tube, heated to 1173 K for 24 hours, cooled to 973 K at 2 K/h, and then centrifuged to remove the flux. Single crystal X-ray diffraction data were obtained using a Rigaku XtaLAB Synergy-S diffractometer, processed using CrysAlisPro software, and refined using Olex2 software. The room temperature powder X-ray diffraction data was obtained using a Rigaku SmartLab SE diffractometer and refined using FullProf software. Physical property measurements were conducted on Quantum Design PPMS (14 T magnet): the magnetic susceptibility χ (T) was measured at a temperature of 2-300 K under a magnetic field of 1000 Oe, the isothermal magnetization curve M (H) was measured at an external magnetic field of 0-14 T under a temperature of 2 K, and the specific heat CP (T) was measured at a temperature of 2-50 K under zero magnetic field. </dc:description>
