<dc:title>Plant–soil C:N:P stoichiometry and phosphorus availability data from a vegetation restoration chronosequence in the Pisha sandstone landscape</dc:title>

<dc:description>This dataset supports the manuscript entitled “Vegetation restoration reshapes plant–soil C:N:P stoichiometry and phosphorus availability in the Pisha sandstone landscape”. The repository contains the final cleaned analysis-ready dataset and related analysis scripts used for statistical analyses and figure generation. The dataset includes three vegetation restoration stages in the Pisha sandstone landscape, representing 12-, 25-, and 38-year restoration stages. Four independent 50 m × 50 m sampling units were established for each restoration stage, and 30 sampling points were arranged within each sampling unit, resulting in a total of 360 sampling points. The dataset includes plant carbon, nitrogen and phosphorus concentrations, plant C:N, C:P and N:P stoichiometric ratios, soil organic carbon, total nitrogen, total phosphorus, available phosphorus, phosphorus activation coefficient, soil C:N, C:P and N:P stoichiometric ratios, and environmental variables including vegetation cover, litter biomass, soil moisture, bulk density, pH, slope, topographic wetness index, sand content and gravel content. The variables x_m and y_m represent local coordinates within each 50 m × 50 m sampling unit and are not geographic longitude and latitude. Plant and soil C:N:P stoichiometric ratios were calculated on a mass basis. The phosphorus activation coefficient was calculated from the ratio of available phosphorus to total phosphorus, where available phosphorus is expressed in mg kg-1 and total phosphorus is expressed in g kg-1.This dataset can be used to reproduce the statistical analyses, figure generation, and plant–soil nutrient coupling analyses reported in the associated manuscript.</dc:description>
