2026-07-14 Diatom assemblages in Manxing Lake over the past two millennia doi:10.57760/sciencedb.35736 en This dataset comprises count data for diatom valves from a sediment core (MXB) retrieved from a tropical shallow lake (Manxing Lake) located in the southwestern frontier region of China. It contains subfossile flora data of 68 samples, each associated with different depositional ages spanning the past two millennia. A total of 106 species, belonging to 36 genera, were indentified from the smaples. This dataset provides the foundational raw data necessary for calculating relative abundances, ecological network metrics, and other paleolimnological indices, thereby enabling analyses of the long-term impacts of climatic variability and human activities on the lacustrine ecosystem over the past 2,000 years.
