2026-05-14 Characteristics of Close Contacts of Pulmonary Tuberculosis doi:10.57760/sciencedb.35794 en This study was conducted at the Sixth People's Hospital of Wenzhou (Nanbaixiang Campus of Wenzhou Central Hospital). This study used continuous sampling method to select the first batch of 100 active tuberculosis patients diagnosed and treated at Wenzhou Sixth People's Hospital as index cases. The definition of close contacts is based on the Guidelines for School tuberculosis Prevention and Control: (1) teachers and students in the same class or dormitory with the patient; (2) Family members have had at least 7 days of contact in the same residence between 3 months before diagnosis and 14 days after treatment begins; Or (3) other individuals who have had direct and continuous contact with the patient for more than 8 hours (or a total of 40 hours) in a closed space during the same period.
