<dc:title>A Time-Series Dataset of Snow Grain Size, Snow Pollution, and Snow Cover in Mid-Latitude Asia</dc:title>
  <dc:identifier>doi:10.57760/sciencedb.36074</dc:identifier>
  <dc:language>en</dc:language>
<dc:description>This dataset consists of time-series snow parameter raster products (GeoTIFF format) derived from the Sentinel-3 OLCI. It can be directly read by mainstream remote sensing and GIS software, including ENVI, ArcGIS, and QGIS.Following initial processing that generates a point cloud table of snow pixels, spatial interpolation is applied to convert the discrete point data into continuous areal raster imagery. This enables the data to represent the spatially continuous distribution characteristics of snow parameters and meets the requirements for regional snow spatiotemporal analysis.Daily raster files are named in the format YYYY-MM-DD, while monthly composite NDSI files are named in the format YYYY-MM-The first day of the composite. The dataset includes the following parameters:NDSI (Normalized Difference Snow Index): Unitless (range: -1 to 1). A classical index for snow cover monitoring that effectively distinguishes snow-covered from snow-free surfaces and reflects regional snow cover extent and fractional snow cover.Snow Grain Size (effective radius / Snowgrain): &amp;mu;m (microns). A key parameter reflecting the physical structure of snow. Its magnitude is closely related to snowmelt and reflectance properties and supports research on snow physical processes.Snow Pollution: Divided into relative volume concentration (PollutionA) and relative mass concentration (PollutionB). These quantify the relative content of pollutants such as dust and aerosols in snow, thereby indicating the degree of snow contamination and providing data support for snow ecological environment assessment. All snow parameters undergo additional monthly maximum-value cloud-free compositing (approximately 4 scenes per month). The rasters adopt a geographic (lat/lon) projection with a resampled spatial resolution of 200 meters, supporting applications such as snow dynamic monitoring and spatiotemporal analysis of snow grain size and pollution loading.</dc:description>
