<dc:title>EEG-Neurofeedback Targeting Gamma Oscillations at the Parieto-Occipital Region Reduces Pain Perception</dc:title>
  <dc:identifier>doi:10.57760/sciencedb.36257</dc:identifier>
  <dc:language>en</dc:language>
<dc:description>This dataset was derived from a randomized controlled experiment involving 90 healthy, right-handed participants who were randomly assigned to either an active neurofeedback (NFB) group or a sham NFB group. Each participant completed three NFB training sessions. Data collection included electroencephalography (EEG) recordings, randomized laser stimulation, measurement of spontaneous gamma oscillation power (targeting the parieto-occipital region) while watching a video, subjective ratings of pain intensity and unpleasantness, and laser-evoked potentials. This dataset is well-suited for investigating the causal relationship between spontaneous gamma oscillations in the parieto-occipital region and pain perception, as well as for evaluating the feasibility of NFB training as a therapeutic strategy for pain management.</dc:description>
