<dc:title>Wastewater-associated anammox MAGs and comparative genomic datasets for Candidatus Brocadia sapporoensis</dc:title>
  <dc:identifier>doi:10.57760/sciencedb.36602</dc:identifier>
  <dc:language>en</dc:language>
<dc:description>This dataset contains metagenome-assembled genomes (MAGs) and comparative genomic analysis results used to investigate the ecological distribution and genomic adaptation of wastewater-associated anammox bacteria, with a particular focus on Candidatus Brocadia sapporoensis (Bsap). The dataset includes MAGs recovered in this study from laboratory- and pilot-scale low-ammonium anammox/partial nitritation-anammox wastewater treatment systems, together with wastewater-related anammox MAGs collected from the NCBI database for comparative analysis. The uploaded files include MAG genome sequences, genome quality assessment results, taxonomic classification results, species distribution information, and pangenomic analysis tables. These data support species-level analyses of Bsap occurrence in engineered wastewater systems, phylogenomic distribution, genome streamlining, and functional adaptation patterns. The dataset is organized into four main files or folders: NCBI_MAGs, containing wastewater-related anammox MAGs collected from NCBI; Myself_MAGs, containing MAGs recovered in this study; S1_species results.xlsx, containing genome quality, taxonomic classification, species identification, and source information; and S2_pangenome results.xlsx, containing orthogroup, gene presence/absence, pangenome, and comparative genomic analysis results. This dataset can be reused for anammox bacterial species identification, MAG quality assessment, phylogenomic analysis, pangenomic comparison, and studies on the ecological adaptation of anammox bacteria in engineered wastewater treatment systems.Related manuscript: From ecosystem to structure: Unraveling the streamlined survival strategy of Candidatus Brocadia sapporoensis in mainstream anammox wastewater systems.</dc:description>
