<dc:description>【Research Title】Original Data on Social Frailty and Depressive Symptoms in Community Elderly【Data Description】This dataset comes from a cross-sectional study conducted in 9 residential areas of Hefei City from June to August 2025, aiming to explore the association mechanism between social frailty and depressive symptoms in community elderly individuals.Convenience sampling was used, and a total of 511 community elders meeting the criteria were included. Data collection tools include: general information questionnaire, items measuring willingness to use digital health technologies, Social Frailty Index (SFI) scale, and PHQ-9 questionnaire. All surveys were completed by trained nursing graduate students through face-to-face interviews. The dataset contains de-identified original survey data, with 30 variables and 511 records. The file format is Microsoft Excel (.xlsx) . To protect subject privacy, direct identifiers such as name, ID number, and detailed address have been removed. Age, admission/discharge dates have been generalized or shifted, making it impossible to reverse identify individuals. This study has been approved by the Medical Ethics Committee of the Second Affiliated Hospital of Anhui Medical University (SL-XJS2025-015), and all participants signed informed consent forms.Related paper: "The Mediating Role of Willingness to Use Digital Health Technologies in the Association Between Social Frailty and Depressive Symptoms in Community Elderly," currently under review in "Practical Geriatrics."</dc:description>
