2026-06-01 Mitochondrial D-loop and Cyt b sequences of the Eastern Spotted Dove (Spilopelia chinensis) from Jiangsu Province, China doi:10.57760/sciencedb.37939 en This dataset contains mitochondrial DNA sequences from 139 individuals of the Eastern Spotted Dove (Spilopelia chinensis) collected in Jiangsu Province, China. Samples were collected from five geographic units in Jiangsu Province: Xuzhou-Xuyi hilly and platform region (XX), Huaibei plain region (HB), Huainan plain region (HN), Nanjing-Yixing hilly and mountainous region (NY), and Lower Yangtze plain region (LY).Genomic DNA was extracted using a tissue DNA extraction kit following the manufacturer's protocol. Cytochrome b (Cyt b) and control region (D-loop) fragments were amplified by PCR, and the purified products were sequenced bidirectionally using Sanger sequencing. Sequences were assembled and proofread using SeqMan software.The dataset is provided in CSV format . The table includes four columns: "Sampling Region" indicates the geographic unit code; "sequence name" contains the sample identifier; "D-loop" contains the D-loop (control region) nucleotide sequence; and "Cytb" contains the cytochrome b nucleotide sequence. The sequence data are complete with no missing values. The CSV file can be opened with Microsoft Excel, WPS.
