  <dc:title>Lineage-resolved whole-genome sequencing dataset of prostate cancer</dc:title>
  <dc:identifier>doi:10.57760/sciencedb.38044</dc:identifier>
  <dc:language>en</dc:language>
<dc:description>This dataset contains lineage-resolved whole-genome sequencing (WGS) data generated from a prostate cancer study. Nineteen tumor foci from 11 treatment-naive patients with localized prostate cancer were analyzed, including eight patients with matched morphologically normal adjacent tissues. Flow sorting was used to isolate four malignant epithelial populations from tumors (Basal, Luminal, Club and EMT-like) and three benign epithelial populations from adjacent tissues (Basal, Luminal and Club). The dataset includes WGS profiles from 58 malignant epithelial populations (Basal n=16, Luminal n=16, Club n=17 and EMT-like n=9) and 24 benign epithelial populations (Basal, Luminal and Club, n=8 each). These data were used to characterize lineage-specific copy-number alterations, weighted genome instability index, tumor mutational burden, significantly mutated genes, mutational signatures, cancer cell fractions and phylogenetic relationships. The dataset supports analyses of lineage-specific genomic evolution and parallel clonal expansion in malignant and peritumoral prostate epithelial populations. Data files may include raw sequencing reads, aligned BAM/CRAM files, somatic mutation calls, copy-number profiles, mutational signature outputs and sample annotation tables, generated and analyzed primarily using the human GRCh38 reference genome.</dc:description>
