2026-06-16 Whole-Genome Sequencing Dataset of Wagyu × Hereford F1 Crossbred and Hereford Cattle Longissimus Dorsi Muscle doi:10.57760/sciencedb.38370 en This dataset comprises whole-genome sequencing (WGS, 50×) data generated from longissimus dorsi muscle (LDM) samples collected from eight 24-month-old steers, including four Wagyu × Hereford F1 crossbred (WH) cattle and four purebred Hereford (HH) cattle. All animals were raised under identical management conditions in a commercial beef farm in Baicheng, Jilin Province, China, with ad libitum access to a total mixed ration and fresh water. The objective of this dataset is to characterize the genomic architecture associated with superior intramuscular fat (IMF) deposition in Wagyu-crossbred cattle, complementing multi-omic analyses at the transcriptomic, epigenomic, and three-dimensional chromatin levels.
