<dc:title>Anonymized Evaluation and Wood-Grain Imagery Rating Data for the L-WIM Study</dc:title>
  <dc:identifier>doi:10.57760/sciencedb.39117</dc:identifier>
  <dc:language>en</dc:language>
<dc:description>This dataset contains anonymized evaluation and wood-grain imagery rating data supporting the L-WIM study. The data are provided in two Microsoft Excel files. User_Evaluation_Anonymized_Data.xlsx contains anonymized user-evaluation data from a controlled user study with 48 participants. Participants were assigned to one of three experimental conditions: Traditional Method, general-purpose Gen-AI, or L-WIM. Each participant completed two material-matching tasks. The file includes task completion time, NASA-TLX workload scores, expert ratings of output quality, and user-reported decision-support measures. Rows represent either task-level observations or participant-level averages, depending on the worksheet. Column headers indicate participant ID, group, task, task completion time in minutes, NASA-TLX scores, expert ratings on 1&amp;ndash;10 scales, and user evaluation ratings on 1&amp;ndash;7 scales. Participant IDs are anonymized and contain no personally identifiable information. WoodGrain_Imagery_Ratings_22Raters_95Images.xlsx contains wood-grain imagery rating data from 22 raters across 95 wood-grain images. The images were generated from five golden-thread nanmu wood specimens photographed under 19 lighting angles. Raters evaluated each image on five affective imagery dimensions: richness, ornateness, dynamism, intensity, and interest. Ratings use a semantic differential scale ranging from &amp;minus;3 to 3. The file includes long-format ratings, dimension-specific rater-by-image matrices, image-level mean ratings, and inter-rater reliability summaries. The data were generated in China as part of a furniture-design and material-perception study. The user study was conducted with participants who had design-related backgrounds or professional design experience. The wood-grain imagery data were generated from controlled image acquisition of golden-thread nanmu specimens under different lighting-angle conditions. The temporal scope corresponds to the period of the reported study; the data do not represent longitudinal observations. All data were processed to remove personally identifiable information. No names, contact information, signed consent forms, or free-text responses that could identify participants are included. Missing data were not observed in the deposited worksheets. Measurement error may arise from subjective rating variation among participants and raters; therefore, inter-rater reliability summaries are provided for the wood-grain imagery ratings.</dc:description>
