<dc:title>Dataset of Socio-spatial Structure in Chendai Town, Jinjiang City, Fujian Province, 2024</dc:title>

<dc:description>This dataset is related to the paper Socio-spatial structure of townships under the perspective of the Jinjiang Model. This study takes Chendai town, Jinjiang city, Fujian province—the birthplace of the "Jinjiang Experience"—as a case. Based on Social Area Theory, this paper constructs an index system from three dimensions: socio-economic status, semi-urban and semi-rural social characteristics, and integration. The socio-spatial structure of Chendai town is comprehensively analyzed using Factorial Ecology Analysis (FEA) based on multi-source big data in 2024. The dataset contains the following content: (1) Boundary of management units at all levels in Chendai Town in 2024. The data format is shapefile. Chendai Town has 2 communities/24 administrative villages and 145 secondary management grids under its jurisdiction. The shapefile data fields for village level boundaries include the name of the community/administrative village and the land area (in square meters); The data fields of the secondary grid boundary shapefile include the name of the secondary grid and the land area (in square meters). (2) The indicator system and grid data for the study of social spatial structure in Chendai Town in 2024, in xls format. The dimensions of the indicator system are as follows: ① Socioeconomic status, including 7 indicators such as education level, village collective income level, and proportion of occupations related to dominant industries; ② The characteristics of a semi urban and semi rural society include 11 indicators such as mixed entropy index of land use, proportion of population owning homestead land, and degree of participation in village affairs; ③ Integration, including 11 indicators such as location entropy of floating population, job income satisfaction, and job stability; ④ General indicators such as population and building density, gender ratio, etc. 37 indicators and 145 secondary grids form a 37 × 145 raw data matrix.(3) The table of main factor eigenvalues, variance contribution rate, and factor loading matrix is in xlsx format, containing two sheets: factor loading matrix and main factor eigenvalues and variance contribution rate. The factor loading matrix sheet includes indicator names, main factor loading fields, main factor eigenvalues, and variance contribution rate fields. (4) In 2024, the scores of each main factor in the secondary grid of Chendai Town and the clustering of social areas. The data format is xlsx, including grid number, secondary grid name, 37 indicator data (starting with @), 37 indicator data Z-Score standardized results (starting with Z @), secondary grid scores on 7 main factors (starting with FAC), and social clustering results (CLU6_1). (5) The main factor load matrix table for the social area of Chendai Town in 2024, in the format of xlsx, includes the number of secondary grids and the average score field of the main factor. </dc:description>
