<dc:title>Annual RUSLE Soil Erosion Dataset for the Loess Plateau at 1000 m Resolution from 2000 to 2025</dc:title>
  <dc:identifier>doi:10.57760/sciencedb.39407</dc:identifier>
  <dc:language>en</dc:language>
<dc:description>This dataset is a grid data of annual soil erosion on the Loess Plateau from 2000 to 2025, calculated based on the modified general soil erosion equation RUSLE, with the expression A=R &amp;times; K &amp;times; LS &amp;times; C &amp;times; P. The data covers the Loess Plateau region, with a spatial range of approximately 100.866895 &amp;deg; -114.557879 &amp;deg; E and 33.563994 &amp;deg; -40.741502 &amp;deg; N, and a time range of 2000-2025. The time resolution is in years and the spatial resolution is 1000 m. The data is projected using WGS 84/Albers area projection, and the grid pixel values represent the annual soil erosion amount, with the unit being t &amp;middot; ha-1 &amp;middot; yr-1.&amp;nbsp;During the data processing, the first step is to unify the boundary of the Loess Plateau region and the target 1 km spatial grid; Subsequently, the RUSLE model was used to construct the rainfall erosivity factor R, soil erodibility factor K, slope length and gradient factor LS, vegetation coverage and management factor C, and soil and water conservation measure factor P. The R factor was calculated from monthly precipitation data and summarized at the annual scale; The K factor is estimated using EPIC method based on HWSD v2 soil attribute data and surface soil texture and organic carbon information; LS factor is based on NASADEM elevation data to extract slope and calculate it; C factor is estimated based on the annual vegetation status of MODIS NDVI; The P factor is assigned based on land cover type and slope conditions. After unified projection, resolution, and spatial range, each factor is multiplied year by year to generate annual soil erosion data for the Loess Plateau.&amp;nbsp; The dataset contains a total of 26 GeoTIFF raster files, with the year in the file name representing the corresponding year. For example, rusle2000.tif represents the soil erosion amount on the Loess Plateau in 2000, and rusle2025. tif represents the soil erosion amount on the Loess Plateau in 2025. All files are single band float32 type grids with a NoData value of -9999. Each year's data has a consistent spatial reference, resolution, number of rows and columns, and grid range, which facilitates annual comparison, temporal analysis, spatial statistics, and regional soil and water conservation assessment.&amp;nbsp; In terms of quality control, the data underwent spatial grid consistency checks, region masking processing, invalid value settings, and annual grid statistical checks during the processing. After inspection, the projection, resolution, and spatial range of the 26 annual documents are consistent, and there are no negative values in the grid values; Invalid areas are uniformly marked as -9999.&amp;nbsp;</dc:description>
