<dc:title>Floral rewards, foraging behavior, and pollen transfer data for sympatric Lysimachia species (2022&amp;ndash;2025)</dc:title>
  <dc:identifier>doi:10.57760/sciencedb.39654</dc:identifier>
  <dc:language>en</dc:language>
<dc:description>	This dataset provides the comprehensive raw data supporting the study: &amp;ldquo;Floral rewards and pollen placement mechanics minimize reproductive interference in two sympatric Lysimachia species sharing an oil-collecting bee&amp;rdquo;. The data were collected from field investigations in the Jiucaiping Nature Reserve (Guizhou), Laoshan Nature Reserve (Yunnan), and Wuhan (Hubei) between 2022 and 2025. The dataset documents the specialized pollination mutualism between the genus Lysimachia&amp;nbsp;and the oil-collecting bee genus Macropis.	Data acquisition involved standardized methodologies: floral reward volumes were measured using micro-capillaries (inner diameter 0.1 mm); visitation frequencies were recorded through systematic field censuses (visits per flower per hour); pollen removal and deposition efficiency were quantified using single-visit experiments on bagged flowers; and seed set was assessed through controlled hand-pollination experiments. All morphological measurements (e.g., corolla diameter, filament length) were performed using high-precision electronic analytical balances (Sartorius BSA224S) and digital calipers. Data processing and statistical analyses were performed using SPSS 27 and Origin Pro 2025.	The dataset is provided in a single Excel file (Supplementary Material.xlsx), which consists of seven specialized worksheets: Corolla&amp;nbsp;diameter, Oil&amp;nbsp;volume, Nectar&amp;nbsp;volume, Sugar&amp;nbsp;concentration, Visitation&amp;nbsp;rates, Pollination&amp;nbsp;efficiency, and Pollination&amp;nbsp;treatments. Each worksheet includes columns representing sample identifiers, raw measurement values, and corresponding units (e.g., mm for length, &amp;micro;L for volume, % for concentration, and counts for visitation frequency). The data represent a comprehensive collection of individual-based observations with no significant missing values. Minor measurement errors were minimized through standardized sampling protocols and the use of calibrated analytical equipment, with all data cross-validated to ensure scientific accuracy. This file format is compatible with standard spreadsheet software, including Microsoft Excel, WPS Office, and LibreOffice.</dc:description>
