The samples cover manganese carbonate, manganese-bearing shale, black shale, and gray shale, and can be used to reconstruct paleoclimate, paleoredox, paleohydrology, and primary productivity evolution in the Nanhua Rift Basin during the interglacial period, as well as to investigate the formation mechanisms of organic-rich shales and manganese mineralization environments.
