<dc:title>Coded dataset and codebook (CDCF v1.0 and v1.1) for a comparative discourse analysis of &amp;quot;family&amp;quot; in the family-policy texts of Turkey and the German-speaking countries</dc:title>
  <dc:identifier>doi:10.57760/sciencedb.39987</dc:identifier>
  <dc:language>en</dc:language>
<dc:description>This dataset accompanies the article &amp;quot;[makale başlığı]&amp;quot;. It contains the full data underlying a comparative critical-discourse analysis of how the cultural meaning of &amp;quot;family&amp;quot; is constructed in four national family-policy documents (Turkey, Germany, Austria, and Switzerland). The source texts were segmented into 165 thematic units, each coded along three dimensions of the purpose-built Cultural Discourse Coding Framework (CDCF): strategic axis, cultural-symbolic framing, and discourse type. Each unit was coded independently by a human researcher and by a large language model ([model and version]) functioning as a second coder, enabling the inter-coder reliability analysis reported in the article. The deposit comprises: (1) the coded dataset &amp;mdash; one row per unit, with the unit text/summary, source document, country, and the human and AI codes for each dimension under codebook versions 1.0 and 1.1; (2) the CDCF codebook in both versions, including the v1.1 priority rules; and (3) Supplementary Note S2, documenting the codebook refinement and the structure-determined reliability values. The four source documents are publicly available from the issuing bodies and are fully cited in the article. The data allow readers to reproduce the reported category distributions and the reliability statistics (percentage agreement, Cohen's &amp;kappa;, and Krippendorff's &amp;alpha;).</dc:description>
