2026-06-24 Dataset of Artificial Intelligence and Green Technology Innovation in China’s Manufacturing Industry, 2012–2024 doi:10.57760/sciencedb.40348 en This study takes Chinese A‑share listed manufacturing firms on the Shanghai and Shenzhen stock exchanges as the research object, with the sample period from 2012 to 2024. The data come from several sources. AI data are obtained from the annual reports of listed firms. Green patent data are obtained from the CNRDS green patent database. Financial data are obtained from the CSMAR financial database. Regional financial development data are obtained from the China City Statistical Yearbook and various provincial and municipal statistical yearbooks. Regional intellectual property protection index data are obtained from the China Intellectual Property Index Report.To ensure the representativeness of the sample and the reliability of the data, the following processing steps are applied to the raw data. First, firms with ST, *ST, or PT designations are excluded. Second, observations with missing values for core variables are dropped.
