2026-06-24 Data set of criminal first instance judgment of drug trafficking crime at county level in China doi:10.57760/sciencedb.40353 en This dataset is constructed based on public effective judicial documents from Judicial Opinions of China, focusing on drug transporting crimes across China. It is designed for spatial research on drug crimes at provincial, district and county levels, and ensures sample accuracy and spatial matchability through multiple rounds of strict screening and quality control.Four layers of screening rules are set for data collection:Basic condition limitation: case type is "criminal case", cause of action is "crime of smuggling, trafficking in, transporting and manufacturing narcotic drugs", document type is "judgment", and trial procedure is "first-instance criminal trial";Precise behavior matching: on the basis of the above samples, only cases with explicit "transporting" expression in the main text of judgment and involving drug transporting behavior are retained through keyword matching;Duplicate case processing: duplicate cases are identified and removed through case numbers and document characteristic fields, and only unique valid samples are retained;Spatial availability cleaning: cases under the jurisdiction of inter-administrative special courts such as railway transport courts are excluded, and only samples whose trial courts can be accurately matched to district-county level administrative units are retained, supporting fine-grained spatial statistics and mapping analysis.This dataset can support criminological geography, criminal law and public governance research on the spatial-temporal distribution characteristics, regional diffusion patterns, inter-provincial boundary effects, and drug control policy effectiveness of drug transporting crimes at the national scale. All raw data come from official judicial public channels and comply with scientific data disclosure and academic use specifications.
