<dc:title>Dataset of Spatial Correlation Network of New Quality Productive Forces at Provincial Level in China (2012&amp;ndash;2022)</dc:title>
  <dc:identifier>doi:10.57760/sciencedb.40557</dc:identifier>
  <dc:language>en</dc:language>
<dc:description>This dataset covers the period 2012&amp;ndash;2022 and includes 30 provincial-level administrative regions in Chinese mainland, with Xizang, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan excluded due to data unavailability. Grounded in the core connotation of new quality productive forces &amp;mdash; the leapfrog upgrading of factor composition and the improvement of development quality &amp;mdash; an evaluation index system is constructed from two dimensions: substantive factors and permeable factors. The entropy weight method is applied to calculate the comprehensive development level of new quality productive forces for each province. On this basis, a modified gravity model is adopted to measure inter-provincial spatial correlation strength, and the resulting correlation strength matrix is binarized using the row mean threshold method to derive the spatial correlation network of new quality productive forces. Stored in Excel format, the dataset consists of 11 worksheets named after their respective years. Each worksheet presents a symmetric binary matrix with rows and columns corresponding to provincial-level administrative regions, conforming to the standard data format for social network analysis. The dataset can directly support relevant studies on the evolution of spatial correlation patterns, analysis of network topological characteristics, and regional coordinated development mechanisms.</dc:description>
