2026-07-01 A high-resolution January surface meltwater dataset reveals interannual variability and recurrent meltwater zones on the Amery Ice Shelf from 2005 to 2026 doi:10.57760/sciencedb.40600 en This dataset provides annual January surface meltwater products for the Amery Ice Shelf, East Antarctica, from 2005 to 2026. The dataset was generated from Landsat 7 ETM+, Landsat 8 OLI and Sentinel-2 MSI optical imagery using a weakly supervised, source-adaptive semantic segmentation framework. The released records include annual binary surface meltwater extent maps, annual surface meltwater area statistics and a multi-year surface meltwater occurrence-count product. The raster products are provided as GeoTIFF files in the Antarctic Polar Stereographic coordinate system on a common 10 m product grid and are clipped to the Amery Ice Shelf mapping domain. The dataset is intended to support analyses of peak-season surface meltwater extent, interannual variability, recurrent meltwater locations and surface drainage organization on the Amery Ice Shelf.
