  <dc:title>The Canavalia gladiata T2T genome dataset</dc:title>
  <dc:identifier>doi:10.57760/sciencedb.40689</dc:identifier>
  <dc:language>en</dc:language>
<dc:description>This dataset comprises the telomere-to-telomere (T2T) genome dataset of sword bean (Canavalia gladiata), including raw sequencing reads, genome assembly, genome annotation files, whole-genome duplication (WGD) analysis results, and repeat annotation files. The C. gladiata sample was collected from BGI Space-Time Center in Shenzhen, Guangdong Province, China (22&amp;deg;36&amp;prime;24&amp;Prime;N, 114&amp;deg;18&amp;prime;39&amp;Prime;E), with leaf tissue obtained from seedlings. Genome assembly was performed using a combination of Oxford Nanopore Technologies (ONT) ultra-long read sequencing and Hi-C chromatin conformation capture technology. The assembled genome size is 613.8 Mb, with a BUSCO completeness score of 99.6% and a quality value (QV) of 54.42. Genome annotation predicted a total of 24,319 protein-coding genes. Repetitive elements account for 61.03% of the genome. Whole-genome duplication analysis, based on syntenic analysis, revealed no recent lineage-specific WGD events in this species. The dataset includes the following files: raw sequencing data; genome assembly sequence file (FASTA format, ~585 MB); genome annotation file (GFF3 format, ~48.5 MB); whole-genome duplication analysis results (compressed archive, ~1.1 MB); and repeat annotation file (GFF format, ~195.8 MB). FASTA and GFF formats are standard bioinformatics formats that can be visualized using genome browsers such as IGV or JBrowse, or processed via programming environments including Python (Biopython) and R (Biostrings). The dataset demonstrates high completeness with no systematic missing records, and the genome quality assessment results collectively confirm the reliability and accuracy of the data.</dc:description>
