<dc:title>Cultivating Resilience: The Impact of High-Standard Farmland Construction on Agricultural Economic Adaptability in China</dc:title>
  <dc:identifier>doi:10.57760/sciencedb.40855</dc:identifier>
  <dc:language>en</dc:language>
<dc:description>	Based on data availability, panel data from China&amp;rsquo;s 30 provinces(including municipalities and autonomous regions) spanning from 2003 to 2023 were selected to construct a two-way fixed-effect model for an empirical analysis of the impact and mechanism of HSFC on AER. This sample period selection is justified by two considerations: first, prior to 2003, there was a significant lack of relevant HSFC data across regions; second, provincial-level data for multiple indicators discussed in the study remain unpublished beyond 2023. Therefore, this time-frame (2003&amp;ndash;2023) represents the most comprehensive sample range currently available.	Specifically, data representing HSFC, namely farmland consolidation area, cultivated land area, and agricultural comprehensive development investment, were sourced from&amp;nbsp;China Fiscal Yearbook&amp;nbsp;and&amp;nbsp;China Land and Resources Statistical Yearbook&amp;nbsp;over the years. Data on agricultural economic resilience, relevant control variables, and mechanism variables were obtained from China Statistical Yearbook,&amp;nbsp;China Rural Statistical Yearbook,&amp;nbsp;China Industrial Yearbook,&amp;nbsp;China Population and Employment Statistical Yearbook,&amp;nbsp;China Rural Policy and Reform Statistical Yearbook, etc. Meanwhile, for the missing data of a few regions in some years, it was supplemented according to the statistical yearbooks of each province, municipality and autonomous region or by using the interpolation method. </dc:description>
