2026-06-26 Chicken manure composting metagenome and virome raw sequencing reads doi:10.57760/sciencedb.41127 en This dataset contains raw paired-end metagenomic and viral-particle-enriched viromic sequencing reads generated from a 41-day chicken manure composting experiment. Samples were collected from raw chicken manure (CM) and on days 1, 6, 11, and 41 of composting. The metagenomic dataset includes three biological replicates at each time point, resulting in 15 metagenomic samples. The viromic dataset includes one sample at each time point, resulting in five viromic samples. Total-community metagenomic DNA and viral-particle-enriched viromic DNA were sequenced on the Illumina NovaSeq 6000 platform using 150-bp paired-end sequencing. The dataset supports analyses of DNA viral community changes and virus-associated antibiotic resistance gene signals during chicken manure composting. Process-level environmental metadata, including composting temperature, ambient temperature, and moisture content, are also provided.
